Nike Grind collects, separates and reuses or processes manufacturing scrap, unused manufacturing materials and end-of-life footwear - including rubber, foam, fiber, leather and textiles into new Nike Grind materials. Nike Grind materials are used in new Nike products, and a variety of consumer products produced by external companies, from sport surfaces to carpet padding to dog toys.
Nike Grind materials made from: Rubber Cured rubber outsoles and flashings processed to various granulate sizes. PU Foam Polyurethane foam laminated with textile backing material. EVA Foam Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam materials from footwear midsoles available in various shapes. Leather Full grain, suede, split grain with polyurethane (PU) coating and synthetic leather scraps from the manufacture of footwear uppers. Textiles Post-industrial textile scraps collected from the manufacture of footwear and apparel, or post-consumer textile fluff recovered from end-of-life shoes.
